APOCALYPSE NO.00: Blauer Zweigelt 2015

STYLE In the nose the Schieferstein Zweigelt has dark fruits with blackberry, black cherries, plum and herbs combined with a distinct spiciness and jammy influences. The wine presents it’s full potential on the palate. A complex structure with very ripe cherry fruits, discreet tannins and delicate toasting notes end up in a very long aftertaste.

ORIGIN The vineyard for our Schieferstein Blauer Zweigelt is located on a south-east slope of the Leithagebirge. We use only the very old vines for our Schieferstein. The soil consists mainly of slate stone (schist) with
a thin layer of sandy loam on the top.
